Job Title: Immigration Paralegal
Job
Summary
Assists
attorneys with case document organization, client communication, form
preparation, and case package preparation in the areas of employment-based
immigration, family-based immigration, and removal defense.
General
Accountabilities
Works
with matters related to employment-based nonimmigrant visa applications
(H-1B, O-1, L-1, E-2, TN), employment-based residency applications (EB-1,
EB-2, EB-5), family-based residency applications, humanitarian relief
applications, and EOIR removal defense proceedings (detained and
non-detained).
Organizes,
enters, and cross-references documents in a computerized database.
Obtains,
assembles, and organizes documents pertinent to case preparation.
Prepares
USCIS, CBP, and EOIR application forms.
Prepares
application package cover letters.
Prepares
FOIA requests for CBP, ICE, USCIS, EOIR, OBIM, and other necessary
entities.
Assists
in preparation of statements and declarations of clients and other
affiants.
Assists
attorneys in client communications regarding case progress, case status,
and document organization.
Interpret
Spanish communications to English language during live-format client
meetings.
Contacts
various government agencies for case scheduling, case updates, and
information gathering.

Job
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree, higher, or its equivalent
Experience:
1-2 years of experience related to immigration law or other fields of law
Language:
Written and spoken fluency in Spanish and English
Technology:
Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Adobe Acrobat,
Clio Manage (or other similar case management programs), PrimaFacie (or
other similar immigration form preparation programs)
